Preparing for anything in life takes prepartion but none more so than working to control an animal that outweighs you be 1500 pounds and has a mind of its own. After passing her C-1 rating earlier this summer Courtney has continued to work and prepare for the next step of attaining her C-2 rating at the end of October. In addition to being tested on her knowledge of horse maintenance and etiquette she and her horse will need to perform a series of maneuvers that show she has the necessary riding ability to peform at the C-2 level.
In preparing for the next step in her certification means riding several times per week and seeking additional training on weekends. Through the encouragement of her mom she has continued to improvd her knowledge and riding expertise to the point that we are confident she will succeed to the next level.
We are very proud of Courtney for her efforts.
